Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The Glasgow Underwater Group was formed in 2007 and contains a growing membership of qualified SCUBA divers from various dive organisations. If you would like to join GLUG, we meet every Thursday night for coffee, beers, food or a combination of those. Venues and times tend to vary so the best bet is to get in touch using the email address below and we’ll be very happy to invite you along to whatever is happening.

We are a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club and dive according to their recommendations. We have several members who are are qualified through other organisations though, so we are by no means exclusive!
We are offering ‘in-house’ dive training, if you are a BSAC member. Currently we do not take in complete beginners but will take in anyone with a basic diving qualification. For those trained with agencies other than BSAC you have the option to join and dive as you are, or “cross-over” to the equivalent BSAC qualification. The latter option will enable you to progress your training with our BSAC instructors. If you have any questions about joining the club or want to find out more, please feel free to contact our secretary at glugsec@gmail.com.
